Founded in 1967 by Mr. Irving Lubin, Elran was the first Canadian company to specialize in reclining furniture. Until 1979, Elran manufactured only one type of product, the reclining chair. 1980 marked a very important year for Elran. We became the first company to introduce reclining loveseats and sofas on the market. Today, Elran is a leader in the industry and offers a complete range of reclining chairs, loveseats, sofas and many other options. With over 150 collections of various styles – traditional, transitional and contemporary – available in more than 550 fabrics and leathers.

The 235,000 sq.ft Elran production plant is located in Montreal. More than 500 employees work for the company. The plant is highly automated and efficient, thanks to a cellular manufacturing system and a just-in-time production system. Each step of the production process, from design, to prototype testing, to final assembly has a meticulous step-by-step verification system to maintain our rigorous quality control standards.

Elran products are distributed across Canada and the United States, in Europe and the Middle East, positioning the company as one of Canada’s top furniture exporters. Our sterling reputation is due not only to quality products, but also to fast delivery, reliable after-sales service, and close attention to the changing marketplace.
